I think today is the first time I’ve experienced something you could call bike congestion in California - meaning, I had to slow down once when there were three bikes approaching the same spot. Lots of engineers out walking around, too. It’s all on the San Tomas Aquino Creek (pictured) Trail.
It’s also maybe the third time out here I’ve felt compelled to use the phrase “On your left!” We live close to a fair number of bike lanes, and one trail, but nobody’s ever on them. Also, a fellow biker started a (brief, weather-related) conversation with me! A great day in San Jose, or mostly Santa Clara.
