I’m reposting this story from last week to share an observation from a friend:
Bear in mind that there was a good deal of sampling error in that Minnesota was like the only place where the police would release records—which I suppose reflects well on our cops and their possible discomfort. MoA sucks but it’s quite possible other “landmarks” suck more, just in the dark and not out loud.
That is, despite the details, this is best read as a story about the post-9/11 police state, not about the Mall of America in particular.
